- Give me one solitary person, alone in all the world. A world where there is no influence from those you see around you right now, a world that has not been marred by human influence and thoughts, a world perfect without humans. Give me that one solitary human, and the person will pine and want for another, a companion.
- So give me two people, the second to fulfill the needs of the first, and together they will create love and family.
- Now...give me three people and two will make one of their number an outcast.
- Give me four people and they will reinvent the wondrously common art of society, with its laws and practices, its hate and presumptions.
- Give me five people and they will find science and mathematics, mechanics and industry. They will begin to take from that world more than they need.
- Give me six and they will bring back greed.
- Give me seven and they will build a pyramid and invent slave labor.
- Give me eight people and they will segregate themselves, creating castes--each one superior to the other, or so they imagine.
- Give me nine people and they will reinvent war and violence, guns and blades, bombs and atomic weaponry.
- Give me ten people, with their society and greed, their pyramids and dreams, their knowledge and emotions--just give me those ten people and they will reinvent genocide and the witch-hunt.
Mankind may have been created in the image of God, but mankind will always be striving to reach the opposite side. The masses would rather be princes in Hell than slaves in Heaven. It is in your nature...
